What a blessing to know that your own healing is in the palms of your hands…
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a transmission of vital energy from universal source by one initiated person to another sentient being.
Reiki is a healing force with its own intelligence and intent, and it is applied by laying one’s hands in a loving and kind way on the body of the recipient.
My experience with Reiki
Reiki supports harmony for both, the giver and the receiver. It provides relaxation, insight and awakening.
The energy flow is set in motion whenever the practitioner concentrates on it and that energy flows from the hands of the healer into the body of the receiver.
The gift of light, the gift of healing and the gift of love that comes with Reiki are priceless.
Your first Reiki attunement
A ritual will be done to open the three upper chakras; crown, throat and heart. With that opening, the symbols of Reiki will be placed in your chakras with the intention to “turn on Reiki flow”.
With this opening universal cosmic energy will flow downstream towards your heart and from your heart towards your hands. The chakras in your palms will be opened and the symbols of Reiki will be placed in your hands as well. From then on, you will be able to channel this loving energy for yourself and for others.
Becoming a vessel for Reiki flow is a choice and a blessing. To have this constant companion-energy available for you and for others in moments of need is a precious and hope-giving gift to give to yourself, to others and to humanity.

Nubia’s Reiki lineage:
Nubia has received her first Reiki initiations in São Paulo, Brazil in the year of 1996, concluding the level of Master in 1998 in the traditional Mikao Usui Method.
In 1997 Nubia met her Tibetan Buddhist Teacher, Lama Gangchen and received Initiation in Buddhist Self Healing NgalSo. This practice of NgalSo along with Reiki became the foundation of her daily ritual of connecting to healing light, within and without.
In 2016 Nubia received Reiki empowerment from Lama Gangchen in his method of Reiki called Tchagwang NgalSo Reiki.
Inspired by Lama Gangchen’s approach Nubia shares the teachings of Reiki in the Buddha Shakyamuni/Lama Gangchen lineage.
A brief look into Reiki’s origin
Reiki healing was rediscovered by japanese buddhist Master Mikao Usui (1825-1926) in Japan. After spending 21 days in meditation – fasting on the sacred mountain Kuruma Yama, Usui received from Source the energy of Reiki in his body. Along with this powerful presence of Reiki light he saw (received) the symbols of Reiki.
Mikao Usui named that energy Rei- spiritual wisdom + ki- energy.
Usui wasn’t looking for Reiki, he was devoting that time towards achieving enlightenment, and in his soul search he received the gift of hands-on healing and started a path of gifting others with that healing empowerment.
“In March 1922, at midnight of the twenty-first day of Mestre Usui’s fasting that: “… a powerful light suddenly entered his mind through the top of his head and he felt as if he had been struck by lightning; this caused him to fall unconscious.
As the sun rose, he awoke and realized that whereas before he had felt very weak and near death from his fasting, he was now filled with an extremely enjoyable state of vitality that he had never experienced before; a miraculous type of high frequency spiritual energy had displaced his normal consciousness and replaced it with an amazingly new level of awareness. He experienced himself as being the energy and consciousness of the Universe and that the special state of enlightenment he had sought had been given to him as a gift. He was overjoyed by this realization.
When this happened, he was filled with excitement and went running down the mountain to tell his Zen master of his great good fortune. On his way down he stubbed his toe on a rock and fell down. And in the same way anyone would do, he placed his hands over the toe, which was in pain. As he did this, healing energy began flowing from his hands all by itself. The pain in his toe went away and the toe was healed. Usui Sensei was amazed by this. He realized that in addition to the illuminating experience he had undergone, he had also received the gift of healing. He also understood that this was his life purpose; to be a healer and to train others.”

A brief introduction to Tchagwang Ngalso Reiki
“May all sentient beings be cured of their sickness by the energy of pure light of love and compassion that is Tchagwang Ngalso Reiki.”
– Lama Gangchen
Buddha Shakyamuni taught hands on healing more than 2500 years ago in this system of Tchagwang, using his hands, blessings and invocations of the pure limitless energies of compassion, love and wisdom.
Tchagwang is a tibetan word and it means “power in the hands” and Ngalso is another tibetan word for “ relaxation and balance”.
In the practice of Tchagwang Ngalso Reiki we will learn about the power of the Tantric Self-Healing Ngalso of the Five Dhyani Buddhas, the Five Great Mothers, the Medicine Buddha, Majushri Black and Pranayama.
