Workshop: Breathing and Singing Into Surrender
Pranayama with Nubia & Live Music and Singing with Jai Uttal
From 2pm -5pm
“Prana, the vital energy present in the air that we breathe is what links our inner and outer environments. This same force interconnects us with all of creation. Through our conscious breath let us offer our healing light to all beings and recognize the sacred in ourselves and in all the manifested worlds. May our breath be our prayer……..”
In this workshop, Nubia approaches breathing techniques as a tool to develop a connection to spirit within us and all around us. Blending her background in Hatha and Bhakti (devotional) Yoga, mantras, and open-heart meditations, Nubia reminds us that our breath can become our prayer of reconnection with the Divine. Jai Uttal, world renowned musician, will support our inner journey with sacred music and chanting, nourishing our spirits and inviting the qualities of the heart to shine and blossom. In this beautiful offering Nubia & Jai will share their love for each other and for these ancient practices. Come and celebrate the life force within and all around with your community!

Jai Uttal, sacred music composer, recording artist, instrumentalist, and ecstatic vocalist, combines music and inspiration from India with his background in western folk, jazz, and popular traditions, creating a stimulating and exotic multi-cultural fusion that is truly world spirit music. Having traveled extensively in India, where he met many beautiful saints and singers, Bhakti yoga became his personal path. Jai has been leading kirtans around the world for more than 30 years, creating a safe environment for people to open their hearts and voices.
