Rasa Lila – Kirtan and Yoga
November 14, 2014 @ 8:00 am - November 16, 2014 @ 5:00 pm
Rasa Lila, the “dance of divine love,” refers to the ecstasy that arose in the hearts of Krishna’s most intimate devotees, the Gopis of Vrindavan, who, upon hearing the sound of their beloved’s flute, snuck away from their households to the forest to dance with Krishna under the full moon.
This weekend, through kirtan and Bhakti yoga, we will explore our own dance of divine love.
Bhakti yoga is a path of personal relationship with Spirit — with God, with Goddess, with a divine, connective force. In the journey of Bhakti, our emotions become the fuel to reconnect us with the Divine and, in so doing, to find healing and wholeness within ourselves.
Nubia Teixeira will lead asana, mudra, and pranayama, which will anchor us in our bodies and open us to the meditative practice of calling to the Divine.
Jai Uttal will lead the group in kirtan (sacred chanting), which is the heart of devotional yoga.
Together, Nubia and Jai will guide participants in a heart-opening adventure through breath, movement, and sacred sound, blending these traditions in a deep and playful way.
Please bring a yoga mat.
Tickets: $405–$1,750 (based on accommodation type).
